Robot Drive System (RDS)

Are you faced with the challenge of building a large 'bot, but aren't sure how to drive it?  The robot drive system  (#KD-RDS1) could be the answer.  The RDS combo consists of high-torque motor and puncture-proof tire with integrated pulley.  Haven't considered a belt-drive system?  Think about these advantages:

  • Easy installation.  Precise alignment is not required as with other types of drive systems.
  • Adjust belt tension for desired operation.  Adjust tight for non-slip, high-torque action.  Or adjust looser for smooth, clutch-action starts (e.g., mini-scooters).

The high-speed drive motor has the power to get your 'bot moving quickly.  Rated 12 VDC, 3.6A at 2500 RPM (no load), it will also accept 24VDC for increased power and speed.  It features customized mounting bracket, two mounting bolts, nuts, and die-cast pulley.
The same variety used in electric bicycles, this high-torque, reversible motor can propel your device to speeds up to 15 MPH or more.  RDS is  well suited for mobile robots, carts and electric mini-scooters.   Includes 18" of #10 wire with integrated motor connector.
